A Message to Christians Living on The Fence

February 21, 2007

A word from the Lord I received on 02/17/2007

The Lord has placed a call upon my life to warn the Body of Christ that Jesus return is near and proclaim the need to get ready.  The Lord Jesus is calling us as His people, to get our lives in line with our Christian faith.

How many people here feel Jesus knocking on your door?  How many people are sensing that The Lord Jesus Christ will return in their lifetime?

I believe that many of us have had a strong intuition or feeling of this within the last 2 years.  I know that many in my generation are strongly sensing and talking about this.

We feel it in our hearts.

But I believe that He is wanting us Christians to get prepared and get right with God so he can unveil his plan to his people, and put his plan in full motion.

He’s calling on us to get prepared.

There are so many Christians around the world that aren’t right with God.

Too many are trying to walk on the fence. Not really taking a stand on one side or the other.

God is calling for his people to make a decision today.

He is calling us to pick up our cross and to follow him.

To leave behind and forsake our bad habits.  Too many Christians are missing the boat thinking that they’re going to heaven, but they haven’t really committed their hearts to Jesus or made him Lord of their life.

Right now there are many people professing to be Christians that attend church on Sunday, say they believe in God, but are not following his commands throughout the week.

There are Christians that are having sex  without being married. They are looking at pornography and lusting. Right now there are christians that are going out to bars and clubs getting drunk, and right now there are Christians telling lies. There are Christians using God’s name in vain, saying things that do not honor him.

Every day there are Christians that are worshipping things of this world. Whether it be their cars, houses, jewelry, or money, it’s all idolatry.  The Lord wants his people to wake up and to follow him!

Not to live half way for him but to live 100%. Jesus is ready to come back  and has been  waiting for all of us Christians to take a stand, to stand tall by his grace and  live for him 100%. Whether or not we are ready he will return soon. He’s been waiting a long time, telling us to get ready but we haven’t been listening.

It all starts with us making the decision today to serve him with our whole hearts, and to never turn back, giving into temptation.

The bible is very clear about the subject of Heaven and hell. So many Christians today think that by doing good deeds and not committing what we call the terrible sins like murder, rape, that they will go to heaven. But let’s not forget that all sins are equal in the eyes of God.  Whether it’s lying, taking his name in vain, cheating on your spouse, hating someone and talking behind their back ect.

We must ask for forgiveness for all sins no matter how small or big we might rate them. We need to look beyond what society thinks as right and wrong, and we need to consider what the Bible says. It tells us how God thinks and by what standard we will be judged. Because in the end that is all that matters!

In Hebrews 10:26 it states “For if we go on sinning willfully after acquiring the knowledge of truth, there is no longer left any sacrifice for sins, but some dreadful anticipation of judgment and of a fierce fire that is to devour those who oppose God.”

Since we as christians know in our hearts the truth, why do we still partake in sin?

Why do we play with fire if we know we’re going to get burned?

If we believe in God than we must believe in the bible and the commands that the Lord Jesus gives us. The Word of God is very clear about the need  to separate ourselves from evil. And from everything that comes between us and the Lord.

In John 2:15-17 it states “Neither love the world nor the things in the world.  Whoever loves the world has not the Fathers love in his heart, because everything in the world, the passions of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the proud display of life have their origin not from the Father but from the world.  And the world with its lust passes away, but he who does the will of God Remains forever.”

Remember that the world will pass away, but the one who does the will of God stands and lives forever.   The word of god is very clear when it tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:10, “Neither thieves, nor the avaricious, nor drunkards, nor slanders, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

While we are here on this earth we decide how we will spend eternity by the choices we make.

We choose to spend it in heaven, eternally with Jesus; or with Satan in a terrible place called Hell.  Once we pass away from this world it is too late to change our fate.  But today we can decide where our destiny lies.  That is why it is so important to repent of our sins and make ourselves right with God today, because we do not know the day or hour which Jesus will return.

We also don’t know when as individuals our life will end. We could pass away at any moment.  Today we could get in a fatal car crash and in an instant we would die without a chance to make ourselves right with our creator.

That is why it is so important that we stop living on the fence; and that today we make the changes in our lives necessary to live acceptably before God, and to ask forgiveness of our sins.

Because without holiness no man will see Jesus.

As stated in Hebrew 12:14 “without holiness you cannot see the Lord”!

It is so easy in the world to sin and not even think twice about it.  Satan’s biggest lie to us is that as long as we treat people well and are good earthly people, God will never send us to hell. How could a God of love do such a thing?  We were good people right?

Being a normal, good person by this worlds standards doesn’t mean we automatically go to heaven.  There are millions of people on this earth that think they are good people, and just because they don’t steal, kill or rape they will go to heaven.

A lot of us are making a big mistake in classifying sins like many of us do.  The bible is very clear when it says that the penalty of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.

Life that comes by believing in Jesus, repenting and turning from our sins, being baptized and then living our life for him.

Further, when the bible talks about sin, it never classifies sins because all of them are just sins.  So we must ask ourselves this,  what sin are we fooling ourselves in thinking that we can get away with it?

One of the devils biggest deceptions which too many Christians and non-believers buy into is that they will go to a wonderful place when they die, simply because they were good people.

But that alone will not get us to heaven.

Only by accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior and asking for forgiveness of all of our sins and taking the steps necessary to stop continuing in living a sinful life can we ever obtain our planned destiny for heaven.

We must remember that everything we do is recorded in heaven and someday we will give an account for how we have lived. We will be judged according to our deeds that were written in the book. Everything we do on earth is recorded,  good and bad, and we cannot hide our bad deeds. No matter what we think, we can not hide, everything is seen by God.

The Father has a wonderful place in store for us.  We must choose today to take that place that He has for us in heaven.  The eternal kingdom of heaven is a beautiful, perfect place full of wonder, of glory; a place of purity, of love and perfect peace.  The bible tells us that the Lord will give us a peace that passes all human understanding, in and through Christ Jesus.

Jesus has already paid the price for our sins.   He want us to have his peace and joy right now in this life. To be an example others can follow so that they to can make heaven their home.

It is now up to us to ask Jesus into our lives, to repent of our sins; to pick up our own cross and to follow Him.
